Infective endocarditis: what to know in care management

Despite infective endocarditis can be treated with developing medical and surgical strategies in today, continues to be a life-threatening illness. Medical treatment strategies is the main treatment method in IE, but surgery treatment may be required in about half of cases when was occured the conditions such as heart failure, valvular damage, abscess, infection, large vegetations and systemic embolism. The implementation of an effective treatment of the disease management process as the process of care must be effectived. In care management process; nurses must implement the necessary initiatives by planning and provide training of individuals and families for the purpose of to improve of cardiac functions, to perform of daily life activities without fatigue and to prevent of complications. The purpose of this article; necessitate updated informations is provide in order to plan, implement and evaluate of care needed of infective endocarditis population.
